By aabazNovember 7, in General. So I've been testing out the cryopods with some babies I've hatched. I love the fact that I can pick them up and basically stop time with them in the cryopod. It's going to be very helpful raising gigas.
I did find that the imprint timer resets when they are picked up. Is this a feature or a bug? Would be great if it was a bug and the imprint timer wasn't supposed to reset but I can still work with it resetting.
Hopefully they will address it soon. I will finally be able to fully imprint a squid and basil looking forward to this. The timer resetting is intended, but Chris said they may revisit that.
What is a bug is the timer being set to 8 hours regardless of what your breeding rates are. IE if you imprint every 10 minutes you'll still have the imprint timer set to 8 hours. They better not fix this then. This is ideal for people who want to breed some dinos, but have to go to work during the day.
If you raise in 8 hour increments, no. For how it is now, the timer resets when it is put in a cryopod so you just need to cryo it right after imprinting. This is what my tribe is currently doing with things we want to have a high imprint on while also having jobs and families.
However the issue Is the imprint resetting to 8 hours when the mature and imprint rate initially is ever 1 hour will definitely not work. But still not complaining to much considering I can freeze creatures that take days to raise. Then feel free to continue on as you have been doing. No need to use them if you don't want to I hope its bug but i think it will be like this 8 hours then you can stop it then when you start again at least it have to be 8 hours other ways all dinos will be easy to raise it will take more time tho lets see how its going to work.
Honestly, I have been utilizing the reset imprint timers of cryopods to force-ably reroll the imprints that I don't have the kibble for, so I can continue to imprint dinos. Sometimes I don't got the time to track down prime fish meat to make Exceptional Augmented Kibble, for example.
So I cryo and retoss to continue forward to the next imprint instead. I don't think this is a bug, but intended. Kind of like how it aborts a pregnancy if you cryo a gestating female, or randomizes the cooldown of the breed timer on a female when unpodded.
I have literally podded and unpodded females repetitively before to get a cooldown of less than a day for breeding. Start new topic.Imprinting is a way to improve the stat-values of a bred creature. It involves different actions of caring during the maturation process. Only one player can imprint a newborn baby. Once the timer runs out it wants one of three types of care:. Any imprinting done is permanent and will not decay if you neglect to imprint the creature afterwards.

If the creature asks for something you don't have or don't want to feed, it is possible to cryopod it, then release it back out. This will change what it wanted in the first place. For example: if it asks for superior kibble, crypod it, and when you release it, it might ask for something easier like a cuddle, walk or berry, but it also might ask for something harder, like extraordinary kibble. Since it's completely random, it is possible it might ask for the same thing prior to the crypodding.
Each care session will increase Imprinting affinity by a set amount, based on total maturation time. This feature is currently exclusive for Managarmr. Added in There is a cooldown of two hours at least once its trained before a baby can be trained again. Unlike the imprint timer, the training cooldown timer will continue even if a baby is put in a cryopod.

I suspect default maturation and increased cuddle will mean you wait forever for the imprint but you won't have to do it more than once or twice haven't rly tested this, just speculating. What you want to do is adjust both Maturation time and Cuddle interval and keep testing until you find values that work for you. Originally posted by Staarbit :.

To capture a creature in a Cryopod, equip an empty Cryopod and while aiming close to them hold for a few seconds.
Once a creature is Cryopodded it will act like an item, halting food consumption, and the Cryopod can be carried in a survivor or creature's inventory which makes mass transport of creatures easier.
The Cryopod will begin to discharge as soon as it is created, either through crafting or after being obtained from an Orbital Supply Drop, with a 30 day or one month decay period. The Cryofridge will recharge the Cryopod as long as it is powered. If the Cryopod is not recharged before the charge reaches zero, it will disable and will be labelled as dead.
When the Cryopod goes dead any creature inside the Cryopod will die and disappear forever, even after the Cryopod is recharged. The creature's death will be noted in the Tribe Log, and the dead Cryopod is unusable until it recharges in a Cryofridge. Cryo Cooldown lasts for 5 minutes, and is tracked with a countdown timer in the bottom right of the screen. Cryo Sickness lasts for 5 minutes, causes said creature to receive increased damage if attacked 10x normal damageand renders the creature unconscious with a full bar of torpor.
The words "Cryo Sickness" are displayed above any afflicted creature in red text for the full 5 minute duration. Creatures cannot be Cryopodded while Cryo Sickness is active, and even if the creature has a short torpor timer like Giganotosaurus and wakes up from torpor before the Cryo Sickness wears off, it will not be rideable and will not respond to whistle commands until the Cryo Sickness wears off.
Juvenile and adolescent Creatures with Cryo Sickness will not eat from troughs. The act of un-Cryopodding also resets the Cryo Cooldown timer for the survivor who unfroze it only to the maximum value of 5 minutes, the timer does not stack past 5 minutesso if releasing a large amount of creatures expected to endure Cryo Sickness, it is good practice to do so only in a well protected environment. If its as claimed reguardless if its baby stage or not you can cryopod it but do it when you have just done a imprint as will go back to 8 hours imprint again even if you done it to make the kibble will go back to 8 hours so you would lose that imprint.
Yes I know the fact of imprint with cryopods Last edited by ; 5 Dec, am. Lordbufu View Profile View Posts. It just makes more sense the leave them out of cryo and take up tame slots so i dont have to wait the timer to breed them.
And physiologically speaking, it should be males that gets a mating debuff. I mean, it should be really cold to "cryo" a dino Because putting a dinosaur in a cryopod is basically the same effect as uploading a dino at a transmitter, supply drop or obb. Yes this is very lazy coding and the sad part, but honestly its the norm when it comes to WildCard, is that when Jen was talking about the cryopods nearly everything she said was wrong.
Preggo dinos do not freeze the pregnancy when cryo-podded but abort the baby, so hurray for WC being Pro-Choice? Also there is zero buff when storing dinos like WC said there would be and finally the timers being reset is just lazy coding on their part. No it is not. The transmitter will delete any dino uploaded in 24 hours. There is also a limit of 20 dinos in the transmitter whereas you can probably fit like on your character.
Cooldowns are randomly given to a dino usually between 24 hours and 48 hours. If you cryo a female after you throw her back out it will randomly give another cooldown. It does not remember any previous cooldowns it starts over. Another slight annoyance is that they reset the imprint care timer if you cryopod a baby.
Funny thing, if you do not have time to sit 24 hours in the game. I went in, pulled out, froze, then you can go in and continue to grow if you want Cryopods reset breeding countdown By AustinNovember 27, in General cryopods. Start new topic. Recommended Posts. Posted November 30, Posted December 8, By OlivarNovember 12, in PC. We have increased baby timers on our servers, basically around 10x. This means the average interval between imprint timers is around 8 minutes for us.
We uploaded a baby in a Cryopod for transport, and when we pulled it out, the timer became 8 hours instead of 8 minutes. IMHO this is a 2 part issue - first, the new timer does not consider server settings, hence the 8h timer on unofficial servers with changed rates. This I would rate as a bug which needs to be fixed. The second part is that it changes the timer at all It would be very convenient for official to be able to freeze babys, as the raising process would be a lot more flexible.
Cryo them, continue the process some other time. I've been waiting for something like this for ages. If it resets the imprint timer, however, a lot of the flexibility would be lost, at least if you don't want to loose too much imprint progress Start new topic. Recommended Posts.
